(Pictured - Caesar sprinkled with sriracha salt)
I love sriracha and I love salt, so why not combine the two? This recipe came about from my desire to add siracha to everything. I love the spicy fermented garlic and chili flavor, but sometimes I don’t want it wet, spackled all over my food. Enter sriracha salt.
This is really easy to make, only takes a few minutes, and lasts for a long time. It’s also a great gift or stocking stuffer for the holidays. Just package it in a hip mason jar and you’re a star.
I especially like using this on my salads as it adds the perfect spice and salt. In this recipe, I also add my favorite herb: Chives to give it a touch more aromatic love. You can really use any herb and if you don’t love sriracha, feel free to substitute it with your favorite hot sauce.
Recipe:
2 cups kosher salt
1/4 cup sriracha
2 Tablespoon chives
Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix until combined with your bare hands. Line on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a 325F oven for 10 minutes. It will cake together a touch, so once it’s cooled, break it up with your hands. For an extra fine texture, you can buzz with a blender as well.

Simple Caesar Dressing:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 garlic cloves minced
1 tablespoon sherry vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender or a bowl and mix. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil until it’s emulsified.
Love this, Chef!!
How awesome!
