I used the same method but use parchment paper and it makes it crisper and not stick as well. Great share!

We have some beautiful bacon from a friend who raises hogs and beef. I’m trying this on Sunday morning- some with pepper and some with brown sugar. Can’t wait!

I live alone and only do 2 pieces at a time so I put them on a plate with paper towels under and over them. Takes around 90 seconds, again depending on crispness, and yes, I lose the bacon grease but cleanup is a snap and I don’t have to wait for the oven to heat up!

I also cook mine in the microwave.

All hail, baking bacon! Carnivore diet enthusiasts love saving the drippings. God bless you, chef, for your efforts in SoCal. And thank you for sharing your smile on Gutfeld!🤠

I normally bake mine. Today I pan fried and then deep fried potatoes in the lard. 🔥

Tim Pool mentioned some tip you’d given him about bacon in a pan followed by eggs and something about vinegar? I can’t remember exactly but is that something you’d be able to share?

I've been doing this for longer than I care to note...

Make sure you do not stretch the bacon when separating from the pack - you will get a better looking finished produce if you avoid grabbing one end and pulling it off like piece of gum on your shoe...

I start in a cold or warming oven set to 300F - seem to get less shrinkage but it does take longer

Raise the temp to 375 (ymmv) once the rendering is well under way (the low temp start will yield moisture (water) mixed with fat, that evaporates and you just have goodness.

And don't wonder off, keep setting a timer to remind you to check on it...

Cooking bacon in the oven is the only way to go! I love the perfect crispness. Frying on top of the stove is forbidden in my home!!

I can’t believe I haven’t been saving my bacon fat all along. Thanks for the suggestion.
